LOTTO
There was no winner of the €7,150 jackpot. The numbers drawn were 10, 16, 27 & 28. Lucky Dip winners were Grace Kavanagh, Shangolden (€50), Neily Kelly, Askeaton (€40), William Mulcahy, Tom Hogan, Rathkeale, Edidie Ruche (€30 each). 10 Free Tickets went to Nicholas Cummins.
This weeks jackpot will be €7,300.

CARDS
This week first and second prizes were divided by two couples on nine games each, they were Mai Wall & C. Lynch, Pat Hastings & Paddy Sheehy. CONGRATULATIONS
Congratulations to Conor Mullane who was named Best Limerick Football Left Half Back of the last 25 Years at the Gala Banquet held in the Strand Hotel recently.

FOYNES YACHT CLUB
Congratulations also to Patrick Finucane, Louis Clifford, Padraig Kelly and John Paul Buckley from Foynes Yacht Club who won first prize in the Irish Sailing Association Euro Marine Rib Challenge Final held in Wexford recently. The top prize was a rigid inflatable boat which will be put to use as a safety boat for use in the club.

EXHIBITION
An exhibition entitled “What’s a Year Anyways” by Foynes artist Helena McMahon opened in Dooradoyle Library recently and will run for one month. The subject matter for the painting is wide ranging, with six exhibits telling the story of time spent training at an equine centre in Galway and more depicting scenes in Ballybunion and Kilkee.

CAR BOOT SALE
The next carboot sale will be an indoor market in aid of our local community radio station, West Limerick 102 FM, wil,l take place at the Community Centre, Newcastlewest from 9am-3pm on Sunday, November 29. This will be a special Christmas market with Santa due to visit around 11am. If you would like to take a stall on this date please contact Bernadette or Hannah at 069-66200.

ESTUARY RUGBY CLUB
The next draw will be held in Kennedy’s Bar, Askeaton on November 27. Training continues at Shanagolden Sports Field at 7-8pm Tuesday nights for U14 players and Sunday morning at 10.30am for all other teams.

SHANNONSIDE AFC

FOYNES & DISTRICT SEARCH AND RESCUE UNIT
Foynes and District Search and Rescue Unit have just begun a fundraising drive in the area for the newly formed club. The club is relying on the support of the public to get up and running. REILIG MHUIRE
The Rosary will be recited at Reilig Mhuire on all Sundays of November at 3pm. Grave owners are asked to attend.

WOMENS CHOIR
The local community womens choir Allude are welcoming new members to join the choir in the Foynes Flying Boat Museum every Tuesday from 7.30-9pm. No experience is needed just a desire to sing in a group for fun and enjoyment. This initiative is funded by Limerick County Council Arts Office. Contact Joan McKernan on 061-496000.

ST.SENAN’S SOCIAL SERVICES
The Monday night exercises have resumed in the Community Centre, Foynes at 8pm. New members are especially welcome. The Tuesday drop in centre has also resumed at 2pm every week where participants will have the usual bingo, chat, craic and a cup of tea.

EXERCISE CLASSES IN SHANAGOLDEN
A limited number of places are available for exercise classes in the Health and Wellness Centre, Shanagolden. These places are open to people parenting alone, long term unemployed and county council house residents. This project is funded by the County Limerick Sports Partnership. SHANID COMHALTAS GROUP
Lessons continue every Thursdays from 7-9pm in Shangolden Hall. All age groups are catered for and all are welcome.

FOYNES YOUTH CLUB
Foynes Youth Club resumes every Friday from 8-10pm. We look forward to seeing you all again and welcome all new members.

ALL IRELAND AIR AMBULANCE TRUST
The AIAA is proposing to put 3 air ambulances in the air in Ireland, so sick and injured people will have access to rapid emergency medical treatment. A recycling bank in aid of the All Ireland Air Ambulance has been placed in the community centre car park, NCW. Please support by donating unwanted clothes, textiles, footwear etc.

BADMINTON
Badminton takes place every Monday and Wednesday night in Foynes Community Centre from 8-10pm. Adults €4, Over 15’s €2. Male and Female beginners are welcome so come and enjoy for the competition and craic! We will be registering our league teams very soon so if you would like to play with us do come and practice. KARATE
Karate classes take place in Foynes Community Centre every Thursday from 7-8pm.

CALLING ALL BEETHOVEN FANS
The Autumn Music at Castleconnell Series has begun and every second Tuesday evening until December 8 the featured composer is Beethoven. The best of Irish music talent has been secured by Limerick County Arts office and the renowned Austrian Haydn Trio “Eisenstadt” will also perform. The venue is Castleconnell’s Church of All Saints and tickets are available at the door and from the Arts Office at 061-496498/496300.
