The annual mass in Kilcolman Cemetary will be
held on Sunday, November 8 at 2pm. Followed
by prayers in Kilbradhren Cemetary at 3.30pm.
You are asked to supply a candle to light in the

entitled “Crime Prevention and Community
Safety” is available from the Department of
Justice, Equality and Law Reform, 94 St.
Stephen’s Green, Dublin 2 or email whitepaperoncrime@
justice.ie or can be seen at your local
library. Some missions on this document or
other concerns in crime can be placed in boxes
in their local post office or shop before
November 6 or submit direct to the Dept. of
Justice before the end of November.

RATHFREDAGH FIREWORKS
A monster fireworks display will light up the
night sky to herald a major und raising evening
at Rathfredagh Cheshire Home on Friday,
October 30. Beginning at 7.45pm, ahead of an
evening of dancing with Trudi Lawlor and a
special guest appearance by the Ennis Gospel
Choir. Admission is just b20, hot food served.

DROMCOLLOGHER
RESPITE CENTRE

The annual dance in aid of the Dromcollogher
Respite Centre will take place on Friday
October 30 in Old Walls, Liscarroll. Tickets only

FOYNES NS CALENDAR
The school calendar has been a great success
over the last few years. The children and Mrs.
B are currently working on the 2010 calendar.
This year we are hoping that the local businesses
will place ads in the calendar, costing

WOMENS CHOIR
The local community womens choir Allude are
welcoming new members to join the choir in
the Foynes Flying Boat Museum every Tuesday
from 7.30-9pm. No experience needed. Contact

ST. SENAN’S SOCIAL
SERVICES

The Monday night exercises have resumed in
the Community Centre, Foynes at 8pm. The
Tuesday drop in centre has also resumed at
2pm every week where participants will have
the usual bingo, chat, craic and a cup of tea.

This award aims to honor a volunteer member
of a County Limerick based sports or community
group who has made an exceptional contribution

Please note there will be no music classes on

Foynes Youth Club resumes every Friday from
8-10pm.

ST.SENAN’S GAA CLUB
Limerick Teams of the 25 years: The Limerick
County Boards are asking it’s supporters to
pick the best hurling and football team of the
last 25years. They are offering two tickets to
this gala evening with over night stay in the
Strand Hotel. The club is proud to have 2 nominees
in Conor Mullane at left half back and Ian
Ryan at centre forward. We urge everyone to
vote for these players as much as possible.
The Selection Gala Ceremony will take place at
the Strand Hotel, Limerick from 7pm until late.
On the night there will be a four course meal
with music by Night Fall. Tickets cost b30 and
all profits go to Milford Hospice. Tickets available
from Helen Cross at Limerick Gaelic
Grounds, Ennis Road, Limerick from Monday to
Friday, 9.30am-5.30pm.

BADMINTON
Badminton takes place every Monday and
Wednesday night in Foynes Community Centre
from 8-10pm. Adults b4, Over 15’s b2. Male
and Female beginners welcome. We will be registering
our league teams very soon. For more

KARATE
Karate classes take place in Foynes Community
Centre every Thursday from 7-8pm.

ESTUARY RUGBY CLUB
Estuary Rugby Club is up and running for the
new season and new underage players are welcome.
Please attend sports field, Shanagolden
on Sundays at 10.30am. The club are holding a
club development draw for the next six months
to raise much needed funds with a great selection
of prizes for winners.

FOYNES & DISTRICT SEARCH
AND RESCUE UNIT

Foynes and District Search and Rescue Unit is
currently looking for volunteers. Please contact

Peter Enright, Foynes or Seamus Curtin,

SALESIAN SECONDARY
COLLEGE

Well done to students from TYR, 5th and 6th
year who took part in the fund raising collection
for Enable Ireland and St.Gabriel’s School
at Thomond Park before a Munster game.
Congratulations to 1st Year Boys Hurling team
who had a very good win over St.Clement’s.
Congratulations also to Katy McAvinue who
came first and Amy Jones who came second in
the Cois Sionna Credit Union Singing
Competition.
Evening Courses in Traditional Music have commenced
in the college on Mondays. Choristers
also meet to hone their vocal skills and if life
savers are interested you will also find tuition
in the college pool. Contact the school secretary

Sixth Year LCVP Group are running a talent
competition - Copsewood’s Got Talent – singing,
dancing etc. over the next couple of weeks. All
students of the school are welcome to participate.

The Credit Union in conjunction with Cois
Sionna Credit Union Ltd will continue to open
on Tuesdays at 1.30pm in Room 7, Mr. Lavin’s.

The Parent and Toddler Group continues to
meet every Tuesday and Thursdays in the
Desmond Complex from 10.30am-12.30pm.
New parents/carers are always welcome. Price
